Dr. Linda L. Brooks

Linda L. Brooks, D.V.M.


Dr. Brooks received the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia and founded Northeast Veterinary Hospital in 1980.  She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and has lectured throughout the United States, England, and Canada on various aspects of dentistry.  She is a former President of the American Veterinary Dental Society, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Brooks has authored numerous academic papers on veterinary dentistry and co-authored a chapter in the dental textbook, Atlas of Veterinary Dental Radiology.  For many years, she served as Veterinary Dental Consultant for Zoo Atlanta and presently provides veterinary dental consultations for zoological parks and veterinary hospitals throughout the United States, England, and the Far East.

For the past 32 years, Dr. Brooks has served as the Medical Director of NEVH and has created a veterinary hospital which is recognized nationally as a state of the art hospital with a personal touch.

Jennifer J. Nelms, D. V. M.

 

Dr. Nelms received the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. Matthews University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 where she was a member of their first class of graduate veterinarians.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Gainesville State College.

She began working with Northeast Veterinary Hospital in the late 1990's as a pre-vet student.  After completing her clinical rotations at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she returned to Cornelia to realize her life long dream of practicing small animal medicine.

Dr. Nelms is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.
